COCOA BUTTER

INCI name- Theobroma cacao

Source: Cocoa butter is obtained from processing the beans of the cocoa tree. This involves drying, roasting and fermentation resulting in Cocoa powder, Cocoa Butter and Chocolate Liquor.

Benefits: improves skin health, such as reducing inflammation and protecting the skin from sun damage and premature ageing.

For hair: Cocoa Butter as a pre-wash treatment mask can be used to treat damaged hair.  Fights frizz by reducing moisture loss. Helps to strengthen the hair shaft and improves hair texture. Increases hair volume. A perfect hair gloss for swimmers as it prevents chlorine damage

SHEA BUTTER

INCI name: Butyrospermum parkii,  also called  Vitellaria paradoxa

Source: Shea Butter is a plant fat extracted from the nuts of the Shea Tree, which grows natively in the Sub- Saharan African Region. It grows in the wild and lasts for centuries. They are particularly common in West Africa. We source our Shea Butter from the Northern and Upper Regions of Ghana.

Benefits: Rich in fatty acids and vitamins, it is a great moisturizing butter. It has potent anti-inflammatory properties, so it is perfect for soothing, smoothing, and conditioning the skin.  Its vitamin content, (A, C, and E) gives it natural antioxidant and anti-ageing properties. It also has a mild sunscreen effect.

For hair: it helps with hair growth, clears the scalp, and prevents hair breakage.

BAOBAB OIL

A golden oil from the Ancient Baobab Tree. Rich in Omega-3,6, and 9 fatty acids, Vitamin E, and very high Vitamin C contents.

INCI Name- Adansonia digitata

Source: The Oil is extracted from the seeds of the Baobab Tree, which is known by many names including, The Tree Of Life and The Upside down Tree. Baobab Trees are known to naturally grow and live over 1000 years.

Benefits: It is effective in helping to lighten dark spots and improve skin dullness due to its high Vitamin c content.

It is a great moisturiser and promotes healthy skin barrier.

With more Vitamin C content than most other oils coupled with its omega fatty acid contents it is a natural premier anti-ageing oil, a vital ingredient for soft, radiant youthful skin.

It strengthens nails because of its calcium and protein contents.

It nourishes hair and helps maintain healthy scalp and shiny hair.
